Today from the Club

Too busy gaming today so only a few photos to share.

I took part in a continuation of last weeks Iron Kingdom RPG game, was good fun, especially as I was the only survivor at the end ;-)

A WW2 Rules of Engagement game looked good

A very nice large Napolionic's using Black powder seemed to be enjoyed by those playing and looked lovely.

A 15mm Critical Mass game looked very nice too

 Some DBM games

I didn't get time to capture any more today, there was also some card and board games in the afternoon.

My recent activity

Summary of my latest FB thoughts

This Kickstarter is looking really good, and loving the thought of having a good reason to buy and convert some Hot Wheels or similar for some mad max style racing :-)

Not long left now though but closing in on £30k and the Big rig model !!

Think I need an armoured bear in my collection!

My long awaited Malifaux 2E rulebook and cards turned up so hopefully get my new Guild crew on the table in short order.

I have found myself looking over a number random mini's for various settings:

All so tempting!!

Highly recommend the sci-fi art on offer on this FB page, lots of great work

Finally I really liked the effect this guy has added to his battle report photos on his blog, very nice

Post apoc road rage kickstarter looks good

This looks like it could be a lot of fun, especially with rules to add in custom made hot wheel conversions etc https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wordforgegames/the-devils-run-route-666

Dual Blog window now on Facebook

Given the frequency I check Facebook and the ease of sharing the many great things I come across I have decided to create a Blog Page to run in parallel to this Blog.

As such main posts will still be here and then shared on FB but smaller thoughts will probably find themselves on FB and perhaps consolidated like this if interesting enough to share again.

So far I have discussed a Kickstarter I am looking forward to getting my hands on.

The new deluxe Dreadball mat from Mantic that looks very tempting.

Adrian Tchaikovsky's new book which looks as captivating as his last series.

aikovsky

A Live Wrestling RPG using the WWW World Wide Wrestling rules which I picked up on their Kickstarter but have still to find time and people to play through it with.
This looks like a fun one to listen in too if your in the right time zone or don't have to get up for work.
WWW Journeyman Cup Live

Finally another Blog whose post I thoroughly enjoyed reading and is a prime example of how to set up your characters and setting prior to a game/campaign.

Thought I would share some of my recently acquired painted figures

Now when I say recent.. I mean some arrived today which I wanted to share and that led me to go "oh yeah" I should probably share all those figures I have yet to use that I aquired over the last few months.

My first Malifaux Crew, Guild.
I have to say they look so much better photoed than in person for some reason!
Not to say I don't like them I do and they are certainly no worse than my best effort was likely to achieve!

However I may one day go through and add the odd bit of detail here and there.

Next up some Angry Monks for Saga.
As you may have seen from earlier posts here I have enjoyed a fair few games of SAGA and am lucky enough to have a lovely painted army which I think these Monks will complement nicely as a Mercenary add on. (Less shiny in person)

I bought these as a utility unit that will fit lots of settings and rule sets, think Tomorrows War, Flying lead, Force on Force, Aliens or any Modern to future setting really.

These I am very pleased with, A unit of Neo-Soviets that again could be used for many settings and rule sets, and will give me an interesting faction to use in such skirmish games.

As many of you will know I am a fan of In her Majesties Name (IHMN) and whilst I have played it many times, never with the official figures,

No longer! I now have a really nice Tong gang for use in IHMN and other rule sets. These were a real bargain and I wish I had stumpt up for the other units that were also on eBay at the time.

Next up the 10 figures arriving this morning.
Lovely painted as always by Keith Tait - see my earlier post on the Pirates he did for me.
Again most likely to see use in IHMN or possibly a VBCW skirmish, these two units of 5 add some interesting options.

I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as me, and don't be taken in by the painting table in the background I have not found time to paint myself in a long time, these were all lovingly painted by others and I hope they live long enough on the table to do them justice :-)
